Worlds is a web3-native curation tool that facilitates transactions for the NFTs within the world. Curators can create a gallery setting that provides a space to discover new artists and attract NFT enthusiasts with similar interests. Worlds enable you to curate onchain, be rewarded for your work as a curator, and open up a new avenue to showcase NFTs to a broader audience.
Creating a World mints an NFT. That NFT onchain represents the ownership of your World.
Before getting started, you’ll want to connect your wallet to Foundation as your first step.
Creating a world
The Create modal is your starting point for creating a new world - the flow provides a step-by-step guide to adding a world to the Foundation Marketplace.
Click Create in the upper right-hand corner of every page, select Worlds, and then click Create.
There are two important top-level components of your new world:
- World name: The title and top-level identity of your world and its participating NFTs.
- Curator fee: The share of proceeds paid to you as the curator for each sale within the world. The curator fee should range from 0% to 50%.
These details will be recorded on the blockchain; you’ll want to double-check that they’re correct and free of errors, as you cannot change them later.
Adding sellers to a world
Sellers are creators and collectors that list their NFTs, Drops, or Editions in a world. Adding sellers to your world creates an allowlist of users that can list their NFTs in your world with a reserve price. Sellers on this allowlist can add any NFTs, Drops, or Editions in your world.
Please note that you cannot remove sellers once your allowlist is saved on-chain.
After adding your world’s name and setting your curator fee, follow these steps to add sellers to your world:
- Enter the seller’s Foundation username or Ethereum wallet address.
- Click Review to confirm all details of your world.
- If everything looks good, click Save onchain
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet to create your world. Gas fees are the cost of interacting with the Ethereum blockchain and are not set or collected by Foundation.
It’s important to review your Worlds name and the curator fee, as these details are recorded on-chain and cannot be changed later. If anything doesn’t look right, click Edit to make changes before saving on-chain.
After your world is created, you can view the list of sellers on the world page by clicking Creators, and switching over to the Allowlist tab.
Your world has been created!
Adding more sellers to your world
You can add more sellers later if needed through your Worlds dashboard. Learn how to add more sellers to your world by using your Worlds dashboard.
Note that editing your allowlist is limited only to adding more sellers - you cannot remove sellers once your allowlist is saved on-chain.
Design your world
Now that your world has been created, you can navigate to the world page and begin customizing it. Make your world stand out by adding a unique logo, header image, and description. On the world creation confirmation page, click View dashboard, or navigate to your profile and click the Worlds tab, then click Dashboard.
These details can be edited at any time. Learn how to design your world by using your Worlds dashboard.
Selling NFTs in a world
Sellers can list and schedule NFT listings in your world with Reserve Auctions or Buy Now’s. There’s no limit to the number of NFTs that can be added to a single world.

Launch an edition in a world
Edition collections are smart contracts designed for unlimited minting of a specific NFT for up to 7 days. After that, minting is closed on that edition contract forever.
You can launch your edition collection in a world during the creation flow. For guidance on launching your new edition collection in a world, take a look at our Create an Edition article. Each mint will pay the curator the designated curator fee.
Launch a drop in a world
Drops are NFT collections with fixed collection sizes and Fixed or Dynamic NFT Pricing that can be minted blind by collectors - the NFT assets are then revealed at a later date of your choosing.
You can launch your drop collection in a world during the creation flow. For guidance on launching your new drop collection in a world, take a look at our Schedule your drop article. Each mint will pay the curator the designated curator fee.
Create a moment
Once sellers add NFTs, Drops, or Editions to your world, you can showcase your inventory within a Moment in your world! This optional curatorial tool gives you the ability to create distinct, time-based shows in your world, similar to how a gallery creates exhibitions.

Customizing your Worlds Homepage
Your Worlds Homepage is the landing page of your world, where you can spotlight a specific drop, edition, listing, or Moment. To spotlight an item on your Worlds homepage, learn more about using your Worlds dashboard.
Now that you’ve successfully created and customized your world, you can continue to prompt sellers to add their NFTs, launch their Drops and Editions, and begin marketing your curation on Foundation.
