How many Galleries can I create?
There is no limit to the number of Galleries a curator can create. Curate beyond your imagination — a gallery can represent different exhibits, events, and more.
Are Galleries smart contracts?
Galleries are NFTs that live in their own dedicated smart contract, where ownership is now represented with an NFT.
Can I make changes to my exhibition allowlist after creating my exhibition?
Yes - you can add more sellers to an allowlist or remove sellers by viewing the exhibition allowlist on your dashboard and clicking Manage sellers. This transaction occurs onchain and requires a confirmation in your wallet.
Can a curator control what’s listed in an exhibition?
When added to an exhibition, sellers can list any NFT they own. Please coordinate tightly with sellers on what to list.
Can a curator remove NFTs listed by sellers?
No - NFTs within your exhibition can only be listed or unlisted by the seller who owns the NFT.
Can I customize my Galleries homepage?
Yes - you can spotlight a single drop, edition, or listing on your gallery Homepage by using your dashboard. Learn how to use your dashboard.
Can I customize my gallery's Drops, Editions, and Listings modules?
As drops, editions, and listings are added to your gallery, they'll appear automatically in these dedicated sections on your gallery homepage - the content in these sections will appear in trending order and cannot be customized.
How do I list my NFT in a gallery?
You can list your NFT in an exhibition by following the steps in the How to sell NFTs on Foundation article.
You can choose to list NFTs for sale immediately or schedule them to go on sale at a future date and time. You can choose to list your NFTs for sale using Reserve Auctions and Buy Nows, and you can also accept Offers for those NFTs listed in that gallery.
* Please note that if you have a gallery created before April 12th, 2024, with a pre-existing allowlist, you will be able to continue to use your gallery's allowlist without creating an exhibition, and sellers can continue to list directly into your gallery.
All galleries created after that date won't have allowlist capabilities, and curators will need to create an exhibition for sellers to list and launch their works.
Can I list in an exhibition and set my own Reserve/Buy Now price outside the gallery at the same time?
No—NFTs that are listed in a gallery or exhibition cannot be listed elsewhere at the same time. For more information on how to sell NFTs in an exhibition, take a look at this help article.
The NFT has a Reserve Price and/or a Buy Now price, why can’t I place a bid?
The NFT may be a scheduled listing. This means that the Reserve price and/or the Buy Now price will be active at a specific date and time. All Bids can be made after this date, but you can make an offer at any time!
Can I launch an edition in an exhibition?
Yes - after the creator has been invited as a seller in an exhibition, they can create an edition collection and launch it within the exhibition. The curator fee will apply to the mints of your Editions collection.
Can I launch a drop in an exhibition?
Yes - after the creator has been invited as a seller to the exhibition, they can create a drop and launch it within the exhibition. The curator fee will apply to the mints of your drop.
Can I remove an edition from an exhibition?
An edition collection cannot be removed from a gallery or exhibition - the collection will need to be self-destructed to no longer appear in the gallery or exhibition. Learn more about self-destructing an Editions collection here.

Will Galleries have a tab on my Foundation profile?
Yes - once you create a gallery, a Galleries tab will be visible on your profile.
What is the dashboard?
Your Dashboard offers a comprehensive view and valuable analysis of your gallery's metrics. You can use your dashboard to gain a deeper understanding of your gallery's performance, customize your homepage, and take stock of your inventory—all in one place. Learn how to use your dashboard.
What is an exhibition?
Exhibitions give curators the ability to curate shows of Drops, Editions, and Listings within a Gallery. With Exhibitions, sellers added to the exhibition allowlist can list directly into the exhibition.
Use your Dashboard to create an exhibition.

Where is an exhibition located in a gallery?
If a curator creates an exhibition, it will be located in the Exhibitions tab of the gallery page.
Can I be notified when an exhibition starts?
Navigate to the exhibition and click Save to Calendar to add a reminder to your calendar.
What happens when an NFT is sold in my gallery?
When an NFT is sold in a gallery, it will no longer appear on the Listings tab. The sale record will always be shown on the Sales tab.
Who’s responsible for Foundation’s Marketplace fee for NFTs sold in an exhibition?
The seller who listed the NFT pays Foundation’s Marketplace fee from the proceeds of their sale. Learn more about Foundation’s Marketplace fee here.
How do I delete a gallery?
To delete a gallery, you’ll need to burn your Gallery NFT to delete it.
- Go to the ownership page in your dashboard.
- Burn your Gallery NFT.
- Confirm the transaction in your wallet.
All listings will no longer be associated with this gallery, and your gallery will be permanently deleted. Please make sure you’re burning the correct gallery in your dashboard.

How do I delete an exhibition?
To delete an exhibition, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Exhibitions page on your dashboard and click ••• on the left-hand side.
- Confirm the deletion on the next page.
Exhibitions cannot be deleted unless they are empty. Please note this action cannot be reversed.
What chains can I create a gallery/exhibition on?
Foundation currently supports creating Galleries and Exhibitions on Base and Ethereum Mainnet.
Why can’t I add my Base Drop, Edition, or 1/1 to an exhibition?
Base Drops, Editions, and 1/1s can only be added to an exhibition in a Base gallery. They cannot be added to a gallery created on Ethereum Mainnet. You will need to create a Base gallery first in order to add a Base Drop, Edition, or 1/1 to an exhibition.
