If you’re looking to mint Babes by Petra Voice and don’t have a wallet, you can use the Coinbase smart wallet to transact.

To create a Coinbase smart wallet, click Connect in the top-right corner of Babes. To purchase a babe you can either:

  • Create and fund a new Coinbase smart wallet.
  • Fund your wallet using Coinbase.

To connect using the Coinbase smart wallet, click Connect in the top left corner of the page and follow these steps:

Select Coinbase wallet

Once you click Connect, the option to select Coinbase wallet will appear. When you click “Coinbase wallet,” the next steps will differ depending on whether you have the Coinbase wallet extension installed or not.

If you have the Coinbase wallet browser extension installed:

  • You won’t be redirected to create the smart wallet, and your Coinbase wallet will automatically connect.

If you have the extension installed but would prefer to use a Coinbase smart wallet.

  • You can disable the Coinbase wallet extension (you can easily disable the extension using chrome://extensions/), open the app in incognito mode, or uninstall the extension.

If you do not have the Coinbase wallet extension installed:

  • You will have the option to create a new Coinbase smart wallet. A new tab will open, directing you to create a Coinbase smart wallet. You will see the screenshot above.
  • Or you can connect using an existing Coinbase smart wallet and click "I already have a wallet". A new tab will open, directing you to fund your wallet.

Create Coinbase Smart Wallet

If you do not have the Coinbase wallet extension, a new tab will open and direct you to the Coinbase smart wallet onboarding flow.

If you have the Coinbase wallet browser extension installed, you won’t be redirected to create the smart wallet, and your Coinbase wallet will automatically connect.

We recommend new users to create a Coinbase smart wallet. Please proceed to create your smart wallet.

Fund wallet with Coinbase account or debit card

After creating your new Coinbase smart wallet, you will be presented with a few options to allow you to begin transacting with the wallet.

If this is a brand-new smart wallet, we suggest proceeding with the Fund wallet flow seen in these screenshots above before returning to the app to transact with us.

If you prefer not to fund your new wallet and wish to click "Return to app," proceed to the “Still need Base ETH?” section after this.

Clicking Fund wallet redirects you to another tab that allows you to link your Coinbase account to your Coinbase smart wallet or to fund your wallet using a debit card.

If you choose "Buy or transfer with Coinbase", you'll be prompted to log in to your Coinbase account. This action will link your Coinbase account to your new Coinbase smart wallet, which you can start using for any transactions you wish to execute.

  • Once your Coinbase account is linked, you can purchase ETH to fund this wallet with.
  • If you already have ETH, you can select the "Transfer from Coinbase" tab to move some of your existing ETH balance into your new smart contract wallet.

Selecting "Buy with debit card" will direct you to a checkout process where you can buy ETH on the Base network using a debit card.

You will need to verify a telephone number, and a one-time passcode will be texted to you.

  1. Enter the one-time passcode and then continue to enter the amount of ETH you want to buy. Please ensure that you stay on the default Base network.
  2. Click continue and enter your payment details (name, card number, billing address). Review the information and confirm your order by clicking Buy Now.
  3. Once the order is confirmed, please wait 5-10 minutes for the balance to update in your Coinbase smart wallet.
  4. After this, you can proceed with transactions on our website, where this wallet should still be connected.

Still need Base ETH in your wallet?

When attempting to mint, you will see the error “You have $0.00 in ETH, but you need at least x amount for this transaction. Try again.” if you do not have the funds to mint.

If you choose not to fund your wallet after creating it as shown in the top half of this article, or you connect to the app using an existing Coinbase smart wallet that is not funded, there are two options:

Option 1: Pay with Coinbase account

If you click the arrow by “Payment Method” you can choose to pay with your Coinbase account.

Option 2: Fund your wallet through the settings

Alternatively, you can click the settings icon in the top right corner of the signature.
